Hello Faithful Squires of the Altar!
This page will be used to post announcements and information for our altar servers!
The only requirement for becoming an altar server is that you have received First Communion! Both boys and girls are welcome to join.
Currently, anyone new that turns in an application, I will set up a 30 minute practice between 10am and 11 am on Sunday (between the Masses). This will be enough time for me to learn how much experience you have and give the basics for "level 1" serving...so you can start serving.
Once a month or maybe every two months, we will come together for a practice. This will be a chance to climb the levels. The first hour will be the training and the second hour will be pizza and games! I will let you know when I find a date for the next practice. Here is my breakdown of the levels (slightly revised from the application):
Level 1-Basics and Carrying the Processional Cross

Level 2-Holding the Book at the Chair and working as a team on both sides of the altar.
Level 3-Using the Processional Candles.
Level 4-Preparing and Using the Incense and Boat.
